Is your oral hygiene adequate?

Oral Hygiene - Smile for Everyone

Have you ever wondered if you perform your oral hygiene properly? If you are not sure of your answer, read on and find out.

Let's start by telling you that if you have not received guidance from a dentist, it would not be obvious to know.

Many times with our daily occupations we do not give the true importance that requires a correct oral hygiene and it is something fundamental and begins with a correct brushing, which should be done at least three times a day after each meal, being the night one considered as the most important and should never be missed.

To perform a correct technique, the following steps must be followed:

Use of dental floss:

It is used to remove food debris trapped between the teeth.

It is used at least once a day, preferably at night.

A separate piece of floss should be used for each space. This will prevent cavities from forming between the teeth.

Tooth brushing:

The main function is to remove food debris that accumulates on the occlusal surface of the molars and the bacterial plaque that forms around the teeth in general.

It is recommended to use a soft bristle toothbrush for a more effective sweep on each side of each tooth and that the toothpaste preferably contains fluoride in the case of adults.

The approximate time is two minutes, without forgetting to clean the tongue, where a large amount of bacteria accumulate, which often cause the undesirable bad breath.

For optimal performance, the brush should be changed every three months. It should be taken into account that it is for personal use and should never be shared with family members.

Mouthwash:

It should be used after brushing. It will help eliminate other bacteria that were not removed by brushing. It is important that it does not contain alcohol. We recommend Clorexil Gingival® (pink color) which is for daily use and will help keep your gums healthy.

Remember to visit your dentist for dental cleaning Every six months, this will help you maintain good oral health and prevent the appearance of cavities, periodontal disease and loss of teeth.
